Calcium/bones

~20% by weight

Bones are made up of Collagen and Hydroxyapatite (Calcium Phosphate) in about 50/50 distribution.
Calcium Phosphate is Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2. It has mol weight of 1004. The calcium in there has mol weight of 400. Thats ~40%. Take half of that to account for collagen, and you get your answer.

problem with calcium is that if you dont eat enough of it, your body will break down bones to get the calcium it desperately needs for muscle contractions (like your heart, and all skeletal muscle). so make sure you get enough calcium
