I wonder if this is gonna get the old dealer markup due to "market demand."

Edit: Just wanted to add...I think the car looks great, and is a fantastic value for a performance sedan. Me want!

400hp!!!! ???? Is it getting a Z06 motor? I can't believe Chevy is allowing this. Either that or the Corvette Z06 will also be getting a upgrade.

But yea I can see it now. "Why are you telling me it cost 60K when the sticker here says $49,999??"

style is arguable, most people seem to hate chris bangle. as for class... well... the 1 series is beat that into a pulp.

Yup 400, 5 less than the z06. They did this to try to keep the Z06 owners happy. But, the C6 will base at 405hp at least, with a z06 version of that gettin near 500hp. (New engine will be a 6.0L variant of the current motor I believe)

It's gonna be funny to see this CTS go head to head with the BMW that costs $25k more than it.

I'm a fan of Caddy's new design, but this CTS-V is just beautiful in my opnion.. very clean. And you are very right about the 1 series. There goes the BMW prestige factor.

I don't like the head-on shot, but otherwise it's OK.

<--- Would only drive a Cadillac if it was free :p

50k base to drop, which will prob baloon upto like 55k i'll elect for the smaller m3 or the s4.

if they made a caddy that somewhat resembled a vette, that's one thing, but a 50+k ride that looks like a transformer logo? no thanks, but at least gm is now trying to be competitive.

It's more in line with the M3 than the M5, size wise.

And who knows what the next M3/M5's will bring? The CTS-V is being released at the end of their lifespans.

Lol "Cadillac's answer to the BMW M5 will start at $49,995" They must mean the M3

There wont be any Sedan on there that can compare to the new M5 but it may cost 75-80K ouch!

Don't think so. Most Chevy's drop like a rock in depreciation, but an Impala SS(From 94-96) or Vette Z06 don't apply to those standards. This will much the same. Limited production, highly desired, and very performance oriented make for VERY good resale.

the new vettes are on metro detroit streets. My buddies got some pics of both the hardtop and convertible a few weeks ago. Front and rear were camo'ed. The hardtop looks really sleek.
