Cadillac CUE

I remember a long time ago when capacitive touch controls were all the rage. We had a TV with them. They really didn't work very well because people's fingers tend to be dirty and the device buttons tended to get dirty, too. So soon a touch did not work, and frustration ensued...

This is true with all of the new systems, and I agree. Nothing ages a car worse these days than the electronic user interfaces and features.

easier to update a UI on a flat screen than it is to replace a dashboard. 10 years down the road there may be an update to refresh the style of the older models.

this is a dated cadillac dash... also a car i owned (although silver, not red) and loved. it was like sitting in a different world going from a 97 intrepid to this thing. wish it hadnt gotten stolen.

looks cool, but also incredibly distracting to both obtain information and input commands.

bmw got a lot of flak for the idrive system, but I still think its the best way (especially the newer versions) to control these infotainment systems in cars
