The other world leaders made it. One would expect that The President of the US and his staff could figure out some way to make it to the planned event. It is not like the weather was a complete surprise. There is no way around this, either Trump didn't care enough to go, or he and his entire staff is too incompetent to figure out how to make it 50 miles across town without a helicopter.

The only other person that wasn't there was Putin. Hmm, wonder what those too shitburgers were up to while the actual world leaders were doing their duty?

So lame. The helicopter in question was developed for the Navy for all weather use. Rain is immaterial unless the LZ has zero visibility.

I'm pretty sure that the Marine 1 fleet has the latest & greatest of everything, too. The pilots could probably put one down safely on a carrier deck in a gale.

As mentioned earlier it’s the Secret Services call to fly or not.
Doesn’t mean a car ride was impossible or the President couldn’t have said we need to be at the service.

And when the Prez says "Aww, fuck it!" they can't make him go, either. They'll even cover his ass, I suspect.

More interesting question is has Marine One flown in similar conditions to get the President to a rally.

Much more important to be regaled and fawned on by his base rather than rub elbows with other world leaders that know Trump is a two bit low down charlatan idiot that needs an old fashioned over-the-knee-spanking......badly.
