I've been telling myself I'm going to finally get an LCD for years and I never do...sigh using this 17" CRT is making my eyes get worse and worse.
now I'm starting to do CAD work and I really need a larger display that's easier on my eyes.
so for now I have just this one question: which do you prefer for CAD?

LCD all the way man.
Doing electronic design on my LCD at work. Just great. I got tired of all imperfect CRTs with bad picture, especially annoying when the R G and B channels don't line up perfectly everywhere on the screen .Very small misalignment but very visible when doing CAD.

dont get an lcd unless you can work at its native resolution. i have been using autocad for over 10 years and would reccommend a GOOD big crt. get atleast a 19" that does 1600x1200@85 and your eyes will love you.

only the very high-end lcd's are good for cad.

If you have unlimited money, get one a super high end LCD. If not get a CRT.
