I just got squid up and running on a system I am setting up for a client. Its going to end up being a special proxy setup to manage a sorority's internet, but thats not the point. I am surfing for the time being throught one nice proxy. Specs are Athlon 1800+ 1GB dual channel ram and 30gb cache. Just did windows updates on two of my systems. The first went like normal, but the second was hitting 1+mbps downloads....it was nice.

funny you guys should say that...thats one of many reasons they decided they need a proxy, they had some problems with a few girls running "web cams" in their rooms
