new to networking
two computer's running xp pro
each with nic's
linksys 10/100 fast ethernet 5port network hub
coming from the wall ,please set cables for me.
i have two different kind of cable's that are wired different.
thanks guys
 
One cable might be a cross-over and the other a standard network cable.

Check the colors of the wires and see if they change.

Otherwise for just a few dollars, swing into your local computer store and buy two standard Cat5 cables and be done with it.
