I have .an AMD Radeon 7900 XT and a 1,000 Watt Rosewill RBR1000-M PSU with connectors being from the PSU itself of 6+2 Pin & 6 Pin Cable which I use a 6 Pin to 8 Pin Converter (the GPU requires 2 8-pin Cables).. (Image 1 - Current Cable Hook Up)

My issue is that my computer crashes when I:
- Run an AMD Stress Test or Try to Manually OC the Card, the Computer shuts down and reboots.
- When playing High Intensity Games (the most modern one's), for example, Metro Exodus or Halo Infinite, the PC crashes, shuts down, and reboots..

SOMETIMES, instead of the PC shutting down & rebooting, the AMD Driver instead crashes, and I need to relaunch my AMD Driver.. (My Drivers & BIOS & Windows are ALL Up to Date)

I have isolated the problem to be 100% the PSU because:
1. My PSU is VERY OLD despite being a 1,000 Watt PSU
2. I tested in a store using an 850 Watt PSU and I was able to run all the Stress Tests, OC the Card, and successfully Launch / Play the games that would crash my computer (sometimes at launch, sometimes early in game [such as Chernobylite])..

My temporary (and not always working, but it helps) solution was to:
- Decrease GPU power limit from 100% to 90%
- Decrease GPU Voltage % from 100 to 76 - 80

MY MAIN QUESTION!!!!

Somebody, a while ago, suggested that I, before buying a brand new PSU, should try putting a cable directly from the PSU to GPU. However, unfortunately, when I went to Customcables.com and Rosewill isn't even listed there at all..
Now, I found a computer outside the garbage a few weeks ago with ALL PARTS (from 6th Gen Intel) except all hard-drives removed..
That computer, has an EVGA 1000 P2 PSU with a Custom Cable that says 600V VGA on it (image 2)..

The custom cable is an 8-pin to 6+2-pin + 6 pin Cable (Image 3)..

Unfortunately, the custom cable with the 8 pin PSU connector is NOT COMPATIBLE (does fit in) my PSU Rear (Image 4). BUT, the 6 pin part of the Cable DOES fit into my PSU, and the 6+2 Pin & 8-Pin PSU part of the cable, DOES FIT into my GPU..

So my QUESTION IS:

Will this have the potential to FRY my system (if I boot it like it is in Image 5).. (the 6 pin of the custom cable in the rear of the PSU and 8-pin from the other end + 6+2 pin), is that dangerous?

And if it is dangerous, would it be same to buy an ordinary cable to use for primary power supply to the GPU such as this cable? https://usa.banggood.com/20cm-Graph...pin-Extention-Power-Cable-Male-p-1931117.html (Image 6).
I will eventually test the computer I found to see if it works (so that instead of me having to Buy another PSU, I can just use that one, but I don't want to test it's PSU on my system (yet), because god forbid it fries everything, so I ordered and am waiting on an SSD in the mail so that I can try booting that PC with Windows on it, run tests, and see if it's in safe, stable, working condition. BUT, for the meantime, until I start testing that computer (which would be by the end of this month), I want to try the "Direct PSU to GPU Cable Line" thing, as somebody told me that could be a potential solution to the games crashing during intense graphics.

Yes, you risk fire.

You NEED to purchase a newer PSU (edit: WITH proper cabling), after you did A/B swap testing on your current PSU with that 850W unit.

AMD's high-end cards from 6000- and 7000-series are unfortunately relatively power-hungry.
