Basically I need access to the cable box outside my house. Inside is a bunch of splitters and I want to reconnect the cable dangling from my house inside. But, since I dont think that is legal, I m just trying to reroute/split stuff. I AM NOT ASKING HOW TO GET INTO THE BOX.

So the question is... i have a coax line going into the digital telephone box. this is surrounded in some black plastic conduit. i have a coax line leaving the telephone box going into the inaccessible gray box. i no longer have digital telephone service, so i dont care about that at all.

i would like to take the input into the phone box and split 3 ways, one into the cable box, and 2 more into the wires dangling from my house.

the only thing holding me back is the input coax cable is labeled as like 90volts and when I was unscrewing it there were sparks everywhere.... any advice im clueless...

make sure you take off your shoes and stand in water when working with CATV

This is the box I have. Default set up. http://www.hackcanada.com/cana...hreaking/teskatoc.html

I dont understand the guys comment:
... or if the unit is configured as above, disconnect the Network Coax and attach it by way of an F-81 (the little cable do-dad that lets you hook 2 pieces of cable together) to the Customer Coax, and then run like hell, because you've now sent 90 volts to any TV's or VCR's that might be hooked up in the house...

Not that you would. But you could. *grinz*
my assumption is that is will fry everything, which is why i didnt do anything... but thats exactly what i was thinking about doing.
