Can a Coax Splitter block channels? In my moms apartment I had the cable company install a 4 - Way splitter because I stupidly told them I had another TV for her So maybe the splitter they used is blocking the lower (2-50) channels so they would make me get a STB from them which I know I should do but I don't want the extra cost as that TV is not used that much. The splitter they used is also does not look like a "Normal" Coax splitter it has 5 ports on the top where on most splitters they come out of the side.
Thanks and sorry for the long post

Yes - depending on the cable system and the frequency of the splitter. Call the cable company.

Er.. Reprogram the TV to rescan all of the cable stations. Also, check to see if the TV is set to IRC HRC or AIR. That will resolve the problem. Doesn't matter how much splitters you use.
