Cable tv question

My parents have premium cable downstairs, and i have nothing upstairs. Can i add my room to their service, and pay little to nothing. Or will i have to pay for full service to my room.
 
Depends on the company. When I had cable though Adelphia it was like $5.95 extra, or so for each box/room.
 
If your just going to split the signal from the main cable you can run a cable to your room, and receive basic cable signal. (This is not legal based on some cable contracts)
