Cable TV & Internet questions - What are these little tubes?

I was just down in our laundry room and noticed the cable box for all the apartments had the cover off. I took a quick peak and some of the connections had these little silver tubes on them and others didn't. Mine didn't and I get regular cable and the internet.

What are the inline tubes? Filters?

The part numbers are viewsonics, inc model TR75LT and the other one was LBR-2/75 PRC 342. The first one is about 2 inches long and the other is about 5 inches long. Any ideas what these are?

Thanks for the link.

I figured out what the viewsonics is, just a non removable trap, but I can't figure out what the other one is. It looks like a sideband interdiction system or a ESN series trap but I can not find a matching part number. Could it be used for people who only pay for cable internet and they block the tv signal?
