since I got my networking working great now after a few days of that netbeui nightmare.
I am ready to go cable router shopping :)
I have the netgear starter kit on my pc,,which was pretty cheap after pricematching staples and getting it for around 35 bucks,,I thought it was worth it for the two 25 foot cat5 cables and the 10/100 nic cards,,however the hub is only a
Four-port 10-Mbps network hub not a 100,,,
So what would I need to buy a new 100 mbps hub for my router? I have cable modem so I want the best speed that I can possibly buy,,
Also ..what is the most reliable and easiest to install cable router for a complete pc novice?

A cable modem is not nearly as fast as even a 10Mbps network, so you really don't need to upgrade your hub unless you absolutely 'MUST' have the fastest you can get. Also, other than directly transferring files between your home computers, you probably won't even notice a difference between the 10Mbps network and the 100Mbps network. (99% of games are optimized for Internet/modem connections, so they really don't see an improvement on fast networks...)
