Does this mean that you won't need a cable box to receive HDTV, or an HDTV receiver?
My company (Time Warner) plays both sides of the field and we currently offer digital cable boxes with HDTV receivers to customers for the same price as the regular HDTV. I'm wondering if this would change that aspect or allow freeloaders to enjoy HD-quality television via broadcast television (major networks) without paying a dime in monthly fee (It's called direct connection, in the industry's parlance). But even if that was true, tv makers would still need an HDTV decoder built into the television.
