If they could both be used on an unlimited number of TVs I would have gone with the DIsh but since they want like $5/mo per TV, that'd be an extra $20/mo just for that. heh.

I have Direct TV since I hate our local cable company (Adelphia). May they rot in hell.

that's what prevented us from getting cable in our old house

but when we moved, our cable company changed

Research Triangle Park, NC. (it may be NC, but it's a pretty big market for Time Warner). You could see the compression (large pixelation) in the digital cable quite frequently, especially when changing channels (This in a new house with a brand new line run from the street). Only some channels were truly digital. With DTV all channels are transmitted digitally. Also the sharpness of the DTV picture is more than noticeable, (hell, my wife can tell the difference and she know nothing about electronics/technology)
