Cable or DSL?

Hi. I don't know if this is off topic, but I wanted to get some advice before deciding which one to get. I have @home cable service and DSL in my area. I'm not sure if I have ADSL though. Does that make a difference? And which one should I get, cable or DSL? Thanks.
 
In all honesty, either one would be fine. Where I'm at cable is a little faster and cheaper, but no static ip avail at all. And some cable companies are picky about bandwidth.
