Hi, I stay in India and DSL and Cable technologies have just come here. So I wanted some recommendations. What should I go for cable or DSL? What are the advantages and the disadvantages of both and like what all equipment do I need to connect 3 computers. What will be the cost like? Which one is more reliable?

I have both USWEST DSL at work and cable @HOME and I would say that DSL is much more stable and I haven't seen it go down. I have so much problems with my cable it's seems to be down constantly. As of right now I'm using dial-up cuz my cable has been down for 6 days and I'm still waiting for a tech to come and fix the cable line.

I have a Cisc675 on my DSL which act as NAT router. That offers me some protection there, buy on cable you probably have to use some kind of firewall software like ZoneAlarm. Just think of broadband as having your doors open 24/7.
