Cable modems compatible with Comcast NJ?

Can anyone direct me to a site, or give me a list of cable modems that work with Comcast of NJ? My dad's modem is on its last legs.

Comcast won't give you a new one? Just say you want to cancel your service and they'll kiss your ass like you are god or like you just have a really sweet ass.

i use an rca dcm235, which happened to be the exact modem comcast rented out.

My parents are leasing theirs from Comcast. I'm sure they could easily get a new one, but I'd like to buy one outright to save 'em a few bucks a month. But I've heard that not all cable modems are compatible with all cable systems.
