I was kind of curious as to the breadth and depth of the newsgroups available to cable modem users. Did you gain/lose any particular groups in your change from your previous ISP?

I have dsl, and my annual supernews is about to end. so i signed up with newsguy (extra) a few days ago. <<insert comment of the W here>>

it's always good to get your own subscription (if you can afford it) and see if you can go about using a different one than the one your ISP outsources.

Yes you lose a lot, mostly WAREZ stuff , they feel warez does more harm than pornography.

there are few warez groups but the porn groups are all there. go figure.:p

What?! No warez?!! How am I going to live?? ;) Ah well, there's always the 'net. I swear my ISP is into that stuff, just because of the selection and backlog of the warez groups that they carry.

That's good to know though, that my selection will still be about the same. Thanks for the info!
