cable modem with Win2k Server

Hi all,
I can't seems to make my cable connection work with my settings in win2k server.

Currently I'm running 2 NIC, one to my LAN and the other from cable modem (straight cat5 from cable modem. On my dual boot PC, my windows 98 works fine but for win2k server, the NIC (with the cable modem connected) only detected a LAN of 10mbps but I can't surf at all.

thks

you may want to check the IRQ's on the 2 NIC's and make sure that they aren't the same (IRQ Sharing). I've ran into problems with this myself.

The hardware's likely OK since it works in win98. 10BT connection to cable would be normal. Problem's likely with the TCP/IP configuration for the cable NIC - carefully recheck the settings. Try pinging an internet site by IP address and URL - if the former works, but not the latter, you'll know that DNS setting is the issue.
