Are there any brands/models of CABLE modems which include an external (hardware) switch which can be used to enable/disable the modem's wireless functioning ?

Thanks.

Well, you can have that ability with a 3rd party firmware, like Tomato on a ASUS router.

If a Modem has a Wireless capacity, it means that it is a Combo Modem/Wireless Router. In such case you can connect the Wireless setting in the Combo via any Networked computer and disable the Wireless.

Read the Modem/Router instructions.

I know that, my questions is, are there any modems which have a HARDWARE switch to accomplish this.

Thanks.
