post the motorola modem model, who's your ISP?

Does your PC work if directly attached to the motorola?

The Cradlepoint MBR95 is a 3g/4g modem and router combo. You can't use it as a simple router with a regular cable modem since it doesn't even have a WAN/Internet port designed for the purpose. You need to use a regular wireless router.

I dunno Fardringle:

"HOW DOES IT WORK?

Connect this router to a 3G/4G MOBILE MODEM and get more from your data plan. Most WiFi enabled devices don’t support USB 3G/4G Data Modems. When you connect the modem to the MBR95, you can securely share your data plan with up to 32 people or devices.

Or, connect this router to your existing DSL / CABLE / SATELLITE MODEM and add 600 feet of WiFi to your network.

CradlePoint routers are built to work with most popular 3G/4G USB Modems from: AT&T, Bell Canada, Clearwire, Cricket, Rogers, Sprint, T-Mobile, Telus, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, & Virgin Mobile, as well as most Cable, DSL, and Satellite providers. "

I know what you're saying, but the description kinda says you can. You think it's just an AP?

Apparently I read it wrong, but my initial understanding was that it ONLY works with 3g/4g modems. However, a line near the very bottom of the page says that it does work with cable and DSL as well. So..

sublime420ec, make sure that you are connecting the cable modem to the blue port on the back of the router, and not one of the yellow ones. Try it with your computer not connected to the Cradlepoint and watch to see if the power and indicator lights on the router or the modem turn off or start flashing. If the indicator lights all stay normal, then go ahead and connect your computer to one of the yellow ports on the back of the Cradlepoint and check your connection to see if it is working or not.

If you cannot connect to the Internet at that point, right-click on the network connection icon in the system tray by the clock, then click "Open network and sharing center". Click on the link/name of your local area connection and post here what it says for IPV4 Connectivity, Media State, and Speed. Then click on the Details button and post here what it says for IPV4 Address and IPV4 Default Gateway.

Keep in mind the modem will bind to the first device it sees. When I make configuration changes (replacing my router) I need to disconnect power, ethernet, AND coax from teh modem for about a minute so the modem completely resets.

Then cable it back up the way you want it setup. Like Fardringle says, Modem ethernet to the blue port on the cradlepoint.

I am about 100% confused what is going on, but here is the deal.

Hook up the modem to whatever router or PC you want to use to test it, pull the power from BOTH modem and router [if router is there]. Power up JUST the modem, and wait for the online light to lock solid.

Then if you are using the router power it up and wait about 2 minutes for it to do its thing.

Manual:

http://www.cradlepoint.com/sites/default/files/productdocs/MBR95_Manual_3.6.3.pdf

If you have forgotten your personalized password, you can reset the MBR 95 to factory defaults. When you reset the router, the administrator password will revert back to the Default Password. Press and hold the reset buttonon the router unit until the lights flash (10seconds). You can then log in using the Default Password.

If you google "cradlepoint MBR 95", it brings you right to the page. Click on support, manual right there.
