Hello All.....

Looking to buy a cable-modem so that I don't lease one from AT&T anymore for cable service.

Right now I'm using an RCA modem.....it's the 2nd one they've replaced in the 6 months I've used their service.

Anyhow, I do not want a USB modem, ethernet only, so some approved models are out.

Anyone come across a good review or roundup of cable modems?

As long as it's DOCSIS compliant, you should be ok. I have the Motorola SB4100 (aka Surfboard) and it has worked well for me - just plug it in and surf (more or less). The browser interface is clean and useful. FWIW.

What cipher00 said :)

I've had the SB4100 for nearly a year and no complaints, works brilliantly on both USB and ethernet (has connectors for both, but can't use both at once)
