Hi Guys,

I'm trying to get cable modem connection for my home in LA. I was wondering if you guys knew what companies offer it there. Thanks, any help would be great. I already checked with @home, they don't service my location.

I have AT&T roadrunner in LA it's like $45 a month but it's worth it. If cable is not serviced then u might have to go w/ Pac Bell DSL ugh! I've heard bad things about them.

I have Charter here and I would recommend them. they are reasonable and I have heard fewer complaints about them than anyone else. I wish I could get faster connect speed, but that is the nature of being where I am, at the end of the internet pipe in Utah. You can get advice from dslreports.com

ATT Roadrunner here. No problems...getting around 1.5- 3.0mbps download. Paying $35 a month since i have my own modem. Dunno how long this service will last though since ATT is kinda losing money. Haven't heard anything about that for awhile now too.

I completely agree, I've had AT&T RR for almost a year, and it has been incredible. I'm capped at 1500/300Kbps, and tests/realworld usage show 1450/285, I am getting my money's worth. I can play on all Californian servers with a 20-40ms ping. It's been down for a total of about 10 hours (not consecutively).
