Cable Modem Router

What router would you recommend buying? I just bought the Netgear RT311, for some reason I get constantly disconnected from HTTP... I don't think there's a pattern but occasionally, my HTTP will not work... it cannot resolve the DNS, but when i remove the router and use just a direct connection to my cable modem, everything is fine.

I was thinking of returning my netgear and getting a linksys... is this recommended? Any other brands that are good out there for cable modem access sharing?

just a note: i need to be able to host FTP, HTTP, use ICQ and AIM

im pretty sure... or else why would it even work at ALL? it's only occasionally that i get disconnected...

besides... supposedly, the default settings should make it work, which i loaded a couple times... and still gives me that problem
