Cable modem question

I just went from a DSL to cable modem, it's hooked up through my usb, it's quite fast, but after about 5 minutes, I get bumped off, then I need to restart my computer to get back on, and most of the time, when I go to restart I get the blue eror screen, I didn't write it down, but something to do with VxD, whatever that is, do you think it's the usb? should I get an internal ethernet?

You should get a Ethernet card instead of you USB. Not sure if thats causing your problem though, someone else will. 🙂

I had the same exact problem I called up my cable company they came and installed a ethernet card now I have no problems 🙂

I had this problem as well. Come to find out after about 2 months of the cable company blaming my poor innocent computer they had assigned 2 of the same IPs to 2 different people. So when the other person logged on I would get kicked and then I would reboot my computer I would kick him off. 🙂 They reassigned my IP and all was well.
