Cable modem question.

I am moving from an Adelphia place to a Cox place. Can I use the modem I purchased from Adelphia in the Cox area? It's a Terrayon TJ715. Thanks.

As long as the mac ID sickeris on it you will be fine.

Did you purchase the modem somewhere, or lease it from Adelphia? If it's a lease, Adelphia wants its modem back.

It was a purchase for 1 cent w/ sign up Cox wants me to pay $80 for theirs. Thanks for answer - I am glad I can use it again - MacID sticker is still there.

Your modem will work fine. Also, you don't need to purchase the cable modem(s) from Cox. As long as you buy a modem (locally on online), and it's on the approved list, you call Cox to add it to your account.
