I've got a cable modem connection and running internet explore 6.0. My question is how can I password protect at the log on screen that doesn't exist with cable connection? My teenage kids just click on the internet icon in the system tray (or any where it shows up at) and boom your on the web.

That is the way it regularly work.

There are different things that can be done to control Internet Access.

You have to ask specifically what would you like to do.

You can open Browser and pull down the Tools menu, click on Internet Options and choose the security TAB, may be some of the options there can help you.

The most common is to install parental control software.

Look here: Shareware & Freeware Parental Control Software.

In addition, if you have few computers and you want to share the Internet you can get a Router with a sophisticated Firewall and hence security via hardware.
