Cable Modem for under $150?

I am getting Road Runner in my Apartment in January and the Cable company is selling Cable modems for $150. Is that a good price or can i find a better one. I went to CNET and was unsuccessful finding what i need. Thanks for any help. OH yea just one other question, any cable modem will work with Road Runner, right? I already have a NIC in my computer from living in the dorms, so that is not a problem.

Newegg has the popular Toshiba cable modem around $120 or better. Buy.com has a few under $150 as well, possibly under $100 with coupon. D-Links DCM-100 comes to mind for some reason.

Has manufacturer professed that their cable modem is upgradeable to DOCSIS 2.0? That might be something good to know.
