Cable Modem Coax Extender?

Hi all, I have a simple question. The coax cable that usually goes in the back of a cable modem is short in length, if a person wanted to relocate their cable modem somewhere else in the house how would you go about in solving the coax length issue? Do any websites sell coax cable extenders so it'll reach the new location or does an installer have to create a brand new location for the coax? Thanks for any help.

Buy a longer cable.
