Hello all,
I'm looking for advice on what to get, and avoid, when buying a "surge protector" for the coax-cable that goes to my broadband modem.
Every path to my equipment is protected by surge-surpressors and/or filters. Even the Ethernet out on my cable modem is routed through a RJ-45 surpressor.
Why would I bother? Because I'm no longer leasing a modem from good ole AT&T. Even though the modem was under $100, if a surge were to take it out, the down-time would be expensive.
With cable-broadband, I'm not sure what to get.....that is, what to avoid!! 😀
Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated!
Thanks
