cable modem activity light stays SOLID orange

seems to be happening pretty often now, when i wake up sometimes i find the cable modem activity light to be solid orange. not blinking or showing any sign of activity at all. the linksys router was showing no activity at all. also opened my loggin proggie and showed no access yet the cable modem activity light was solid orange. anyone know why this happens?

all i do to get rid of it is unplug and plug it back in.. just curious why it does this tho
 
I know here in NY Cablevision got the Code Red 2 virus which eats up bandwidth. They sent out a notice saying unil they can resolve this issue that your activity light would be blinking very fast or just stay solid. Your provider may be experiencing the same issue also.
