Well I'm trying to figure out the best way to organize my cables b/c I'm quite aware that there is quite a mess of cables behind my a/v cabinet going to my TV. The real question is what is the best way to organize them? More likely than not I'm going to be spending a bit to do this since I'll have to get at least SOME new cables to make sure everything is the proper length. Would I be best of just using some cable ties? Or should I find some kind of cable loom? Here's my setup to let you know what I'm dealing with

H/K AVR-230 receiver going to 5 speakers & a subwoofer with component out to TV
Motorola 3412 with HDMI going to TV & optical out going to H/K
Panasonic DMR-E20 with component out & coax out going to H/K S-Video & audio from Motorola 3412 going in to it
Sharp MD-R3 with RCA out going to H/K and H/K optical out to its optical in
XBox 360 VGA to TV & optical out to H/K optical in
HTPC with HDMI out to TV HDMI in and audio out to audio in on H/K

Ideas folks?

41 views and no suggestions? Normally I would just do some cable ties but the interconnects from various components to each other are really throwing me off. No ideas at all?

Personally, I prefer velco straps to zip ties. One thing keep in mind is try to route your power cables as far away from interconnects as possible.

What is it specifically you're confused about?

Bundle the power cables, don't bend any of the others much. A 2.5" bend radius is fine however.

I hate bending my cables beyong how the were packaged so I usually just hide the cables with large objects (furniture). Otherwise, try velcro wraps or cable ties for more flexible cables. Electrical tape wrks wonders when routing wires along the floor or wall; I don't like masking/other tape cause it leaves a very large residue when you want to move stuff around.

Speaking of bend radius, bend coax sharply while you are running a scanner on it (bandwidth, attentuation, etc). It kills the cable.
