Well I built a computer a few weeks ago and I'm gonna go back in it tommorrow to add a cold cathode I got. I had gotten the cables inside pretty organized but there's room for improvement. Is there any kind of tutorials on how to get keep cables neat or can anyone share any tips? FYI I also use round IDE cables.

Here's some info:

Not much. Basically suggests using plastic sleeves to organize the cables. I personally run some of the thinner cables behind the board - like the power supply heat monitoring cable. Also used zip ties to keep the cables out of the way of the cpu fan. I saw the plastic sleeves today at Home Depot for $1.09 - $2.25 (different types).

I finished putting my dads computer together and since it has a window I decided to make the cables look all neat an organized. I wrapped my PSU wires with spiral wrap instead of split wireloom, I routed the Hard drive cables around the side of my case, under the hard drive so the wires wouldn't get all bunched up (same for the floppy and CD ROM Cables. I zip tied off all unused cables into an out of sight part of the case right above the CD Roms. All the fan wires i taped to an out of sight area. Picture of my dads setup, it looks kind of disorganized with the side cover off but when its on you can barely see the wires tucked away.

Oh yeah, zip ties are your best friend when it comes to wire management, you can bundle them up and zip tie them to any hole you can find in your case.

Either as the guys suggested above or if you want it more asthetically pleasing especially if you have a case window is to sleeve your psu wires, check my sleeving guide for details and images.

I'm not too worried about wrapping them, I'd just like to know if there's some sort of systematic way of getting everything setup and in good shape. If anything maybe some pics of other people's setups with a neat inside would help me out.

There's a thread that's been going on at Ars concerning "neat interiors".LINK

Lots of pics of nicely done boxes......

The case is a CaseTek, they make the bare case for Enermax and Thermaltake who then whore it up and charge double the price. But Newegg sells the base version, which I think looks better. And it's a great case, much better than the Antecs I've used for years. I was actually shocked at the quality for $45. The only 2 nitpicks are the toolless PCI slots, they don't work with any card taller than the slot. But you can use normal screws too once you remove the mechanism. And the side panels are the old "line up the tabs and slide", which is a pain after using Antec's latch panels. But otherwise it's great.

Actually my version doesn't take a side fan, I think only the TT and Enermax do.
