Cable Management Question

My new case should be here today, Antec Sonata II, and I want to do a better job putting this one together. I have seen some fantastic pictures on this forum of the inside of cases in which the builder ran cables underneath the motherboard. It has been awhile since I installed a motherboard, but I do not remember there being much room underneath the motherboard in which to run a cable. Am I remembering this wrong, or is there a trick involved?

Also, any other cable management suggestions would be appreciated:)

No trick for me. All the PCs I have can fit almost any cable in the case under the motherboard, all using normal standoffs. There are taller standoffs available for even more room under there. Just don't place any cables directly under the CPU socket. ;)

Twist ties are your friend.

Unless you're all SATA, you can actually save more room with flat IDE cables than with rounded when routed correctly. Plus I think a neatly folded and routed flat cable looks cleaner than one that is round.
