Hey guys I'm planning on buying a new psu for my p180 case and have seen other topics on this but something doesn't add up.

My current PSU (ultra x-connect 500w) offers a 21.25 inch 4 pin atx cable and that just barely made it.

The longest atx cables in the roundup here are on the Tagan model which I can't even find anywhere. Even so, the atx cable is only 20 inches, which would definitely not make it....

Then I read online that owners of the p180 have no cable length problems at all but it doesn't add up.

I want a 500-550 Watt PSU with the longest cables possible for under 90 bucks, but the top choice (BFG LS550) doesn't even come close....

How about the PSU of your choice, some wire, and a soldering iron?

My concern would be the warranty of the PSU then. I think tis fairly obioviously modifications to this extent would void it but is there any PSU maker that would allow this and still cover it?

I have a silverstone TJ-07 and with its inverted BTX format is a B!tch to get an ATX cable that fits and I did modify mine.

I just find it unrealistic to have to modify something to make it work and why the companies just don't make longer cables.
