I got a buddy whose network card went out, so the cable provider swiched the internet to run through the USB port rather than putting in a new network card.
Isn't USB MUCH slower than the cable modem? That is, isn't the maximum bandwith a USB port can handle much less than what a typical cable modem can supply?
What if he happens to have a USB 2 port? Is its bandwith sufficient?
