Cable Internet Lite or high speed cable internet?

Who is your provider, as the service is different in different areas.

What does lite offer as opposed to regular?

"lite" ??

I like my internet fat. In fact, if someone offered "fat internet" for me, I'd be all over it. I don't like this slow 1.5 mpbs stuff. No sireeee. I want a fat pipe.

Stick to Rogers Hi-Speed.

I live in London Ont and use Rogers. they even upped my bandwidth so it is much better lately. Originally we had a 3 mbps service and then a year ago they dropped it to 1.5 mbps. Now its near 1.8 mbps.

In lieu of my usual rant about Lite-Speed, I'll just give you the numbers for Rogers.

16KB/s download
8KB/s upload

Buy "Hi-Speed"

- M4H

That's what my cable company offers for their "base" offering. Costs thirty five bucks, with Modem rental. I pay for a 30K download, the fastest available is 60K, for seventy bucks a month. It's better than dial-up though.
