Sometimes they'll just drill a hole through the wall into the room and run the cable in from the outside.
Exactly what was done here. So half assed. Soon as I clean out the attic, I'm doing it the right way.
Why is that halfassed?
What other way is there to do it, if you're running a cable in from outside?
😕
I consider it half assed because they didn't insulate where they drilled, didn't bother to at least hide where the cable comes into the room and took a nice chunk out of the woodwork in the living room while they were drilling the hole. What I want to do is pull both lines from the rooms, run the incoming line up into the attic, split it in there then drop each connection down the walls into each room and have a wallplate in each wall.
