Cable "@home" networking

My buddy and I would like to be able to share files, look on each others computers etc. We both have the cable "@home" service but cannot see each other in our network neighborhoods. Is there anyway we can accomplish this? I mean I know there is but we are not as smart as the rest of you which is why I ask. We both use Win98 and have ftp programs. What is the easiest way? Thanks in advance and I bow to all of your tecnologic power.

Well when the @home tech setup your system he disabled that on purpose. Sharing in that way is a HUGE HUGE HUGE security breach.

Yes you are correct, We ended up using Personal Web Server and enabling directory browsing and disabling the default page. This, I assume, is safer?
