Cable/DSL ISP's in Los Angeles/Westwood

Anyone know which ISP's are available in the Westwood area? I live at Veteran/Gayley area and was wondering which is the best to get around there.

Also, if you get dsl, do you have to have a working telelphone number at the house?

Go to the Comcast and SBC sites, they should be able to tell you what is available in your area.

The companies in your area (I think) are Verizon for phone service and Adelphia for cable. Other potential DSL providers include DSL Extreme or Earthlink.

I live on Landfair near Gayley, and Comcast cable has been terrific for these past few months..

i had verizon dsl, it sucked. i could dl at max 70KB/s. now i have Adelphia and consistently get 300KB/s+. if this doesn't matter to you, get the one that's cheaper. cable is soooo much faster here though.

I was at 640 veteran and we had verizon and it was terrible. Our building had a company called case of command and so we ran that high speed service. maybe they are at your apt?

Same for me, Verizon sucked for speed and they had a $25/month "Internet Fee" tacked onto our bill. Adelphia hits up to 250 for me but rarely sustains that high. Still, it's all around much faster than Verizon.
