Other than a Media Center PC, is there such a beast? I'm not a big fan of the box from Time Warner and don't really want to pay TiVo fees. I'm willing to pay a bit more upfront, but I don't want the hassles of a computer.
 
Unfortunately, since 11/14/2010 TiVo no longer offers lifetime subscriptions. Glad I ordered mine on 11/12. You might be able to pick one up on ebay though.
