Do you get cable TV at college? Free, pay for it if so how much?

Just got an offer for 40 for the rest of the year, not bad. Didn't say what channels, assume it's pretty basic.

Free when I was in college dorms. Had a normal cable line-up, like 50-70 channels or whatever and HBO.

On campus, they get basic cable. 30 or 40 channels, included in the cost of housing. Off campus where I'm at now, DirecTV is included in the cost of the rent.

We didn't have the option to have cable in the dorns (92 - 94). There was basic cable in the main Shared Area on each floor though.

WTH??? you guys got cable included in housing? geesh, i dont. $12 a month for basic cable (around 12 channels), and it was only $9 back home, which is only 45 miles away. I was gonna splice it, but everyone keeps chickening out on me.

It was 35 a month here at Valparaiso before this deal for like 30-40 chans no HBO or anything. My school tries to screw me every chance it gets.

It was free when I was in my dorm back in '94. Pretty much every channel under the sun including Skinamax which was they always had it tuned to in the laundrymat. Any other place than a guy's college dorm and it would be weird to be doing your laundry while softcore porn's blaring on the main TV.

I don't have to pay for internet but it's slow as hell if I get a 5kbs download it's a miracle, phone is free on campus off campus they charge you but my phone card is cheap. What school do you go to?

not sure I understand exactly. does college = dorms? if so, the answer is yes, but only cuz its factored into your room and board. if your talking off campus, definetely no.
