cabinet/counter top recommendations

To make a long story short, I'm moving my washer/dryer into the garage and putt a kitchen sink/cabinets where they used to be, in order to make an 'in-law' suite in an extra downstairs bedroom because of:

So, I'm at the point to pick/buy base cabinets and a countertop for a ~70 inch wide space. There are no curves, L's, or anything - just a straight countertop.

I was thinking maybe ikea? Would home depot be a better place to buy this from? I want something that is pretty cheap - but isn't going to be ruined by the ring left by a glass

If you can't find used nearby I would suggest the Mills Pride boxed cabinets at Home Depot. Not the ready to assemble they are a pain in the @ss...

Countertop really depends on what you want to spend..... would cost about $90 to go the premade presswood/ laminate route...

If you want cheap just buy in stock from lowes or HD, special order runs a lot higher.

The millspride site seems to be screwed up but I have the price list in front of me.....
Assuming you went with the sink in the center:

36" sink base (SB36) $131
Two 15" bases (B15} $174
plus whatever an end finisher cost



or

33" sink base (SB33) $127
2 18" bases (B18) $194
plus any finishers

And that is cheap, last custom (kraftmaid) I ordered for a side job were $1740 for 6ft.

Awesome. I'll check it out tomorrow. I would really prefer a smaller sink than a 'normal' kitchen sink - considering this is going to be an 'in-law suite' type deal, basically one person or maybe two. Although.. I didn't even think about a dishwasher. bleh again.
