I've recently come across an issue during installation from CD (which wasn't a problem 6mo. ago w/ exact same CD):
"Error 1311 cannot find <filename>.cab. Please make sure the file exists and that you can access it."
This has occurred with at least two progs that I had previously installed w/o incedent in the past.
Of course the file does exist and I do have access to it but that doesn't mean its going to install from CD. The workaround is to copy entire CD to a temp folder and install from there. However, I'd like to re enable the *.cab-accessing capability of my optical drives. Any suggestions?
