CAB files corrupted!

Hello everyone. I have a problem that I need some advise on fixing. After running AVAST! ant-virus, in the summery, it states that my CAB files are corrupted. I get frequent freezing/sound looping in 3D apps and was wondering if the CAB files being corrupted are the culprit. If it is, then how do I fix them? Would a reformat do the trick to get me back to stable gaming?

All help is apreciated. Thanks.

what cab is corrupt/missing

maybe you can just find that file on your OS disk and replace infected one.

open the program, go to "tools" go to "cab cleaner" and clean "drivers.cab" and "sp2.cab" assuming you are running sp2

Ok, I did as you said and I still have that freezing and looping going on. Any Ideas on what to do now?
