I can't remember if my last delightful traffic school attendance was more than 18 months ago. I can go to the DMV to find out, but don't have time to stand in line for an hour.

I was wondering if there is any penalty for going more than once in an 18 month period? Will the court care? Will insurance companies find out?

Thanks

It depends on the county and courthouse. In LA county they let you go to traffic school a second time for a second ticket within 18 months of each other, but the second time you go to traffic school it has to be the equivalent of a 12 hour course instead of 8.

Don't ask how I know that.

Slightly different in IL. 4 hors the first infraction, 8 hrs for the next. I am unsure if you can take more than 2 classes in your lifetime. I have taken both. Had a good teacher on the 8 hr one, he let us order and eat pizza. Had it delivered to the court house accross from Arligton. (sp?)

Well, I was SOL. The courthouse in Pomona wouldn't let me take traffic school for my second ticket. It was a stupid ticket too. Did a California roll turning right at a stop light 2 am in the morning with NO cars around.

You could check your ticket online... it should say there if you can still attend traffic school... i'm in the same dilemma... but like OS said... i'm in California so hopefully they'll let me go to school again... it's only been 10 months or so.

Why don't you fight it? You have nothing to lose except your time. It takes about 2 hours total of your time to try to fight. And I doubt you make 150 dollars in 2 hrs. :p

Thanks for the info...
Last time I checked the court lady said the courthouse would'nt know. But she didn't seem very reliable. I'll have to call them again... hopefully they're not still on strike here in the Bay Area!
