Isn't it state law now that requires a dyno as part of the test for smog? initially when the dyno law started, smog stations had to buy these expensive machinery to be able to perform the new tests and smog tests were around 65 dollars. The price has come down in recent months. I got mine done about 6 months ago and I think it was still 60 bux. It should be cheaper now, as everyone has mentioned.
Yes, every smog location has a dyno. BTW, if you need to get something passed that won't pass legally, goto a place where they barely speak english or that has a new owner. They tend to be more "forgiving" on the visual inspections.
