c80 printer printing only giant blocks

a bit older of a printer running on a titanim ibook.
tested it on an
imac slot-loading with 9.2.2
emac system 10.3.5 (guessing on that last digit)
and ibook mention above.

epson c80 color and black, it seems to be just tossing ink all over the place rather than actually printing things.
replaced both toners but its all the same.

anyone think this is repairable?
or should i just toss it and get a new one?
(not mine, hoping to help a buddy save a few bucks.)
