Yes I know it's an auto, but they are DIRT cheap!!!

Over in the NOVA area I can get them with 70-90k miles between 9-13k

with all this talk of a CTS-V on here, why no love for this car?

I know its a Benz, but man these things tanked in value compared to its competitor the E46 M3

I've never driven one, but they look like a ton of fun. Are you handy with tools and researching car problems online

Sent from my Lumia 900 using Board Express

dude I love those things. Since there are so many go and find one that has ALL the maintence back to birth. If its been maintained by factory guys your gonna be in good shape.
I think they are fun and quick and about as lively as you get with Mercedes unless you buy a 190 Cosworth
Depending on how risk averse you are man you may even get a cheap 3 yr warranty incase the transmission goes or worse.

I think it is exactly as fast as an e46 M3.

With 350hp and 330ft-lbs it seems like a really sweet engine.

No slouch by any means but that c-class looks too much like a chick car along with the clk of that generation as well.

The older ones looked so badass in comparison. I just hate everything MB from the Chrysler years, S-Class being the biggest piece of garbage.

They cleaned up their act with the last generation however.

My buddy had one, all kind of problems with it, and couldn't even keep up with my lowly 330Ci in the hills, up or down. He finally got rid of it a couple of years ago.

this is one of those moments that even if you can afford the car you really have to look at parts prices cause even if you are a good mechanic (jlee,Manimal,Fuzzydunlop, myself) along those lines. you have to look at parts prices cause i know anything AMG commands a really good price tag! its the reason i wont buy one because 1500 for a coil pack set *which you have to buy all of cause there linked* is just to much for me its the reason i wont buy one. but they are very pretty cars!

I had a clk430 years ago, oem AMG stuff was cheap second hand(had the amg airbox, suspension, steering wheel etc). The key is to buy things from internet parts dealers in low cost areas (generally stuff runs 60% of list price).

The only weird/expensive part was the double spark plug per cylinder.
